This Saturday, February 23rd, the all-important first test day of the 2019 Hillclimb Curacao will take place at the iconic Tafelberg. Since there are but so many test runs allowed on race day, due to time constraints, it’s crucial to get as many runs in whenever possible. These are necessary to get acquainted and learn the track, try different lines in each corner to get the most out of the car, etc. Additionally, having completed at least one “successful” test day is required in order to be allowed to participate in the hillclimb.
Should one want to participate in hillclimb, the successful completion of at least one test day is required. Should one have issues during the first test day, there is still the second test day. But if one skips the first day and fails during the second and final test day, then one may be excluded from the race for not complying with the rules and regulations.
All test candidates must be those that wish to participate in the hillclimb, and who’s cars must be qualified in race categories. Car numbers will be taped on both vehicle front doors for ease of monitoring by the corner marshals.
No spectators will be allowed on a test day. Photography and video recording is not allowed.
There will be a mandatory meeting for first-time participants (rookies) of the hillclimb organized by SDDK Motorsports. Failure to attend this orientation meeting will result of exclusion of the test day. Your fee will be refunded.
The Test day meeting is scheduled for Thursday, February 21, at 18:30 sharp at the Motorsports Museum, 16 East (Ararat).
