A late entry to the 2019 Hillclimb Curacao, the number 67 red Mini Cooper S Convertible, driven by Jean Trappenberg, got us some great onboard footage. Along with Drone Inspire Curacao’s aerial footage, we were lucky enough to have fellow WEC photographer Frank Hoyinck work his magic in the editing department. Below, the result:
What’s the least understood about this little hillclimb is that one can enter it with any type of vehicle, be it your daily driver, in this case, this mini is the perfect example, or an AWD SUV. It doesn’t have to be specifically a sports car, a Porsche or Subaru WRC, etc. As long as you get excited driving up the hill and have a wide grin on your face coming down, that’s all that matters. By the way, all participants, without exception, experienced both several times during the day!
