Hillclimb postponed

[Update: although we were hopeful of a quicker return to normalization, and hoped to get kick off the hillclimb on June 27 next, unfortunately, this will not be possible at this juncture. At this time we do not have a date, so please check back for updates] end update, 5/1/2020.

[Previous update: following the escalation of local containment measures in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic it has been decided to move the Hillclimb again from May 23 to June 27, 2020, in the hopes that the situation will have stabilized by then] end update, 3/30/2020.

On Monday, March 9 last, we took the decision to postpone the Hillclimb and immediately set a new tentative date for May 23, for which we have received the thumbs up from the Mijnmaatschappij.

What does the tentative new date mean? Should the measures to contain the spreading of the COVID-19 virus be effective within a reasonable timeframe, and the public agglomeration in open surroundings appear to be normalizing, then the date of May 23, 2020 may be adhered to, of course, baring any unforeseen setbacks.

We are confident that this is the right thing to do. It also provides a couple of car builders the time to complete their customer’s vehicles. Finally, we may add more test days. Also, the postponement gives us a second chance at giving the Advanced Driving Course. Both of these are dependent on having enough attendees. So, please get in touch with us!
