3rd hydroplane being built

Powerboat Racing Curaçao will soon be a hydroplane richer. Besides the two build by the organizer, of which one is in the hands of a marina operator, a third is being build by  Porsche enthusiast Carlos Sayers and will soon take to the water. Below a couple of pictures that show the structure in the first phase of construction.

A proven hydroplane design by the pencil of Darrel Sorensen is being promoted. This comes with a large 1:1 detailed drawing and an updated hydroplane construction manual, which describes each step of the build in detail. Integrity of the hydroplane is essential, so each builder must spend a great deal of time ensuring that the entire frame is tightly interconnected, glued and screwed/nailed into place.
