Museum

Update 3/17/2020: [Following Government directives icw the containment of the COVID-19 virus, the museum will remain closed to the public effective immediately. Stay safe everyone and hope to welcome you all again to the museum real soon!]

One would be surprised to know that locals have been racing anything motorized since the early beginnings. Take for example the sport of drag racing. What started out in California in the 1950’s was quickly replicated in Curacao in the 1960’s. The islanders have also been competing in rally’s and hillclimbs since the mid-sixties, both locally as internationally, and go-karting since the early seventies.

Our museum captures the early beginnings of our motorsports as well as some of its latest developments. Although the exhibitions are not large, they do present a nice cross section of the history. Exhibitions are comprised of photographs, artifacts, clothing and videos. With the exception of a couple of drag racing collages, every piece is original.

The Curacao Motorsports Museum is a living museum. As such collections are rotated out as new artifacts are found or received and new exhibitions made.
