Wishing to add some fun for Hillclimb participants and spectators alike, we are encouraging the latter to make an extra effort to dress up for this highlight in our racing calendar. Drivers are requested to wear period correct clothing.

Reason behind this request is two-fold. First, why not have some fun at the races? Make use of the opportunity and dress up and have a great time at the races, with a chance to get rewarded for your efforts with a couple of great prizes: best dressed, best dressed couple, and best dressed team. If you’re worried about the heat, we have more than 2-dozen large white tents scattered around the site, and with our constant N.E. breeze, everyone should be just fine.
Second, we are trying to get a seat at the big boys table of world class motorsport events, even though we’re just a small country. One of the many requirements for this is to have at least a small bunch of elegant motorsports fans. We are not referring to expensive clothing here, rather tasteful and a tad chic. Our professional photographers will be pointing their lenses towards anyone that matches the description and these pictures will be used in promoting Curacao as a motorsport loving island in the Caribbean.
Drivers are encouraged to wear period correct clothing. Of course, for one’s own safety, it’s always recommended to wear a fire proof racing suit, in all classes. However, should you just be joining the hillclimb this year for fun, and running in one of the stock classes, we recommend long trousers and polo or long sleeved shirt. Again, should you wish to help improve the event, then Team clothing is the way to go.
Period correct clothing refers to clothing worn around the time your entry was manufactured. If you’re competing with a late model vehicle, then modern clothing styles are allowed. Early model car would require vintage style clothing depending on the era. Of course, this is not required, merely suggested.
Happy motoring folks!
