After a hiatus of more than 30 years, the hillclimb was once again held in April, the month in which it was originally held from 1965 to 1987 at the foot of the iconic Tafelberg. And with more than 15 percent of the drivers being hillclimb participants of that period, when it was organized by the Automobiel Club Curacao (A.C.C.), one could say that last year’s event got the hillclimb fever going again. Some thirty drivers successfully completed the required processes and took to the line to their great satisfaction. Though less spectators than the previous year, those that attended enjoyed the afternoon.
From the 9 categories that the race organizers introduced, the entries were condensed into 5 categories, being: Class A, factory stock 4 cylinder and rotary N/A; Class C, stock 8 cylinder (which included one 6-cylinder entry); Class F, Modified RWD and Drift cars; Class G, Modified AWD (which included 3 stock entries); Class H, factory electric vehicle; and Class I, vintage vehicles (Wabi).
Even with a break for the timing and signaling marshals at 16:00, the drivers got five timed runs before the conclusion of the friendly competition near the crystalline waters of Fuikbaai. Hereafter, the awards ceremony was held at the starting line with the iconic Tafelberg in the background.

For this hillclimb, the organizers designed a new trophy illustrating the winding road on a granite base, all from local vendors.
